My Nugget: How in the devil?

If you caught the last newsletter, you'll know I've been trying to weather the wild storms of perimenopause - complete with a hefty dose of anxiety, insomnia and my mind playing some serious tricks on me! I did my research and started taking some adaptogens, though I knew they’d take a few weeks to kick in. In the meantime, I’ve been clinging to some semblance of sanity by staying active, doing my neuro drills (which can also reduce anxiety!), and making sure to get out and connect with people. Trust me when I say this was no mean feat the way I was feeling. Huge thanks to those of you who checked in on me - seriously, it meant the world. You know who you are, and I’m beyond grateful.

This wave of anxiety really caught me off guard, but on the bright side, it's given me a TON of empathy for anyone who deals with this regularly. When I was in the thick of it, it was downright dreadful. No amount of mindset work or yoga makes anyone immune to life’s struggles. I’m just as human as the next person. However, it has pushed me to actively seek out ways to help myself and try to see things from different angles. It’s also highlighted some unhelpful beliefs I’d been holding onto - so yep, still very much a work in progress over here!

The silver lining of going through tough times? We all experience it, and it can help us build compassion and understanding, not just for ourselves, but for others too.

I’d love to hear from you, so please don’t be shy! Let me know what’s on your mind or any topics you’d like me to dive into.

And if you found this helpful, feel free to pass it along to someone who might benefit from it too. After all, sharing is caring! 😊
